Aerial Surveying and Photography
Our team uses the most modern Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to capture data at resolutions unobtainable from traditional survey techniques. With our UAVs we can capture over 100 million points of data in a single flight. Our orthorectified photo products can either be an individual photo or be tied into a traditional ground based survey. Our orthophotos can be used for a wide range of uses such as planning, preliminary design, time reference data and survey.

Harrietville Development Feasibility
Harrietville is a small sub-alpine town at the base of Mt Hotham in North East Victoria. It has a small, active, community that take a proactive approach to the economic development of the town. The community identified an under-utilised parcel of land, that was previously used as a shallow stone extraction pit and asked Council whether residential development was possible on the land. Oxley+Co were engaged by the Alpine Shire Council to investigate the feasibility of developing this land for residential purposes. Harrietville does not have reticulated sewer and therefore the treatment of wastewater was the first issue addressed by Oxley+Co. We investigated traditional package treatment plant systems for individual lots and also looked at a decentralised system for the new estate. The decentralised system approach would be the first of its kind in Victoria and would reduce the environmental risk associated with wastewater disposal as only one system would be required as opposed to the 36 individual systems. Two concepts designs were prepared for Council. The first was a traditional approach with each lot being responsible for wastewater disposal and the second was the decentralised wastewater system option which would be managed by an Owners Corporation. Both options were provided with full development costs and Oxley+Co recommended the decentralised option. The project is now under consideration by Council.
Wahgunyah to Lake Moodemeere Trail
The Wahgunyah to Lake Moodemeere Trail is a shared trail project that will connect these two destinations along the Murray River. Our team has undertaken survey using UAV, identified a trail alignment using GPS that avoids the removal of native vegetation and undertaken detailed design of the trail.
Our team is involved in the detailed design of a large residential subdivision in Wangaratta. Our team has been preparing construction drawings, project managing construction works and refining the layout for future stages to meet current market demands.
Great Alpine Road, Bright
Our team has been involved in the master planning of a 40 hectare site on the edge of Bright for a number of years. We were successful in having the land rezoned to General Residential and we are now working with the client on a development layout for the site that includes an aged care facility and residential development at a range of lot sizes.
